About the Role:
As the Accounts Payable Junior Manager, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of financial processes, from vendor payments to compliance reporting. This is a mid-senior level position ideal for professionals with strong leadership, analytical, and SAP skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant qualification: B.Com Degree, Higher National Diploma, B-Tech, or Master’s Diploma (NQF 7/10) with Accounting as a major
- Preferably completed a Junior Management Development Program
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a financial environment
- At least 3 years in a management or supervisory role
- Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office and SAP
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accurate and timely payments for imports, energy vendors, transport, and sundry invoices
- Ensure VAT compliance as per current legislation
- Maintain vendor age analysis and resolve vendor queries
- Oversee General Ledger and vendor account reconciliations
- Prevent duplicate payments through proper control checks
- Handle SAP master data updates and execute payment runs
- Manage foreign payments, vendor revaluation, and imports cash flow forecasts
- Ensure month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures are completed accurately and on time
- Uphold compliance with SOP, SOX, and Delegation of Authority
- Build and maintain relationships with both vendors and internal stakeholders
