Job Summary:
We are seeking a Security Practitioner to manage and improve our security systems, focusing on CCTV installations and overall security performance.
Key Responsibilities: AfriSam Security Practitioner Vacancies
- Conduct regular inspections of security cameras and fences.
- Ensure legal compliance with PSIRA and SAIDSA regulations
- Maintain camera functionality and availability at over 90%.
- Research and implement approved security improvements
- Manage security-related documentation and reports.
- Oversee the appointed security company’s performance through weekly meetings and KPIs.
- Ensure the security company adheres to contractual obligations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12
- PSIRA registered Grade A security training
- Training in camera installation
- 3-5 years experience in camera installation, setup, and maintenance
- 3-5 years experience in security management and asset protection
- Network setup and configuration experience
- Experience using CCTV and other relevant security technology
- Valid Driver’s License
Skills and Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of Hikvision, Milestone, Dahua, and other CCTV systems.
- Strong understanding of CCTV cabling, power supplies, cameras, DVRs/NVRs, network switches, and power requirements
