Minimum Requirements For Apprentice HEM – Komatsu South Africa :

• Education: Grade 12 with Mathematics.
• Residence: Must live in Pinetown or nearby areas.
• Employment Status: Must currently be unemployed.

Required Subjects (NQF Level 4):

• Mathematics / Technical Mathematics (Not Mathematical Literacy).
• Physical Science / Technical Science.
• N3 Diesel Trade Theory and/or N3 Mechanotechnology.
• Engineering Graphic and Design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn and apply a broad range of technical skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.
• Demonstrate growing independence in tasks as training progresses.
• Complete apprentice modules as required by merSETA.
• Prioritize health and safety protocols in the workplace.
• Maintain workshop equipment and ensure it is in good condition.
• Keep an updated logbook of projects and skills acquired throughout the apprenticeship.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, practicing good housekeeping.
• Uphold a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
• Perform other duties that support the role.
